Another Week

Time seems to be speeding by at the moment. No sooner is it Monday morning its Sunday evening.

We still haven't heard from Basildon regarding hubby's operation. But he has been invited for an 'over 65's tummy scan' on Wednesday at the local hospital. The scan looks for a potential weakened vein that could lead to an aneurysm. Apparently it is responsible for a lot of  men bleeding to death in their late 60's.

Bertie is also having an operation on Tuesday as he is being neutered. We were hoping to keep him intact for  much longer. But recently there has been a bitch on heat locally. He has driven us  mad pining, whining, and pacing up and down repeatedly,  day and night.  Which has resulted in him losing weight too. Plus hubby's leg has had enough🤣🤣🤣

My grand daughter came to stay overnight Tuesday. We had a lovely time doing a puzzle. Unfortunately we didn't get it finished before we had to take her home as it was a 1000 piece sawgij. Anyone that has done one of these will know the jigsaw is nothing like the picture on the box! We  took her home to Ipswich late afternoon on the Wednesday, as we walked in her front door she ran upstairs and came down with a 500 piece wasgij. We managed to do quite a bit of it before we left at 9PM that evening.

Today I had a WhatsApp video from her fitting the last piece in place.

It's been lovely having some decent weather at long last. I've lost nearly all my seedlings since repotting them and the wind snapped the top off my best tomato plant 🤬🤬🤬. I can only think it's the seed compost I used. I might try again but my heart isnt in it at the moment.

More great weather on the way so I'll be chilling in the garden with a book as much as possible. I had another great yellow sticker shop this week. Back soon. Tx

  1. One of our grand dogs is on heat, and her male housemate is the same. Goes completely out of condition, not eating etc until she finishes.

    1. It's the whining at 3 in the morning, constantly wanting to go out. I feel like I've got a newborn in the house and I'm suffering sleep deprivation.

    1. I worry do much, and try to steer towards healthy options etc But largely I've given up now. As the old saying goes, you can lead a horse to water but you csnt make them drink.

  3. I was chatting to a lady at our garden centre, saying none of my French Marigold seed came up this year, it had been a poor uptake with all seeds in my greenhouse, she said it was the same for everyone, the weather did not give us the warm sunny days needed for the seeds. Then the winds came and destroyed the few which grew.

    1. Haha, I wish I could have found him a lady. We have been asking around but Welshies are very rare.

  5. I did a couple of 1,000 piece wasjigs during our lockdowns and they are quite addictive aren't they. I did the wedding one and Sherlock Holmes. BUT, they are also pretty expensive (I've been buying them off Amazon) so I'll lay off it for now. Goodness knows I've got plenty of other things I could be doing. And I bet your husband's leg could do with a break couldn't it. Take care of Bertie!

    1. They are addictive. All of ours and we have 5 came from Charity shops thank goodness. But yes they aren't cheap. I'm hoping the op calms Bertie down. He is fine with me, he only likes hubby's leg! 😂

  6. Harvey has been working on his 1000 piece jigsaw for the last two winters. I don't think he is working on it too hard though.

Sorry the seedlings you potted were unable to grow or got broken by the wind.

    God bless.

    1. We've had such a long drawn out winter, a very wet and cold spring. It's not surprising things died.

  7. I love jigsaws too but I have been doing the online ones. I got tired of my cat running off with the pieces of a real one : )

  8. Bertie ran off with a piece that had fallen on the floor. When we retrieved it it was swollen to twice its size due to him sucking it. Online sounds great.

  9. I was diagnosed as HEPATITIS B carrier in 2013 with fibrosis of the
liver already present. I started on antiviral medications which
reduced the viral load initially. After a couple of years the virus
became resistant. I started on HEPATITIS B Herbal treatment from
ULTIMATE LIFE CLINIC (www.ultimatelifeclinic.com) in March, 2020. Their
treatment totally reversed the virus. I did another blood test after
the 6 months long treatment and tested negative to the virus. Amazing
treatment! This treatment is a breakthrough for all HBV carriers.
